Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant’s program with an Associate’s degree. Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of New Jersey as verified by Board of Consumer Affairs. Must maintain license in good standing. Must be CPR certified or complete the CPR certification within six (6) months of employment. Must be competent in computer applications as needed to complete the job duties and/or required by the department.
The primary purpose of the Physical Therapy Assistant position is to assist the Physical Therapist in executing Physical therapy services to patients of all ages to restore and maximize function, to relieve pain or reduce pain, and to prevent disability following disease or injury. Physical Therapy Assistant must work under the clinical supervision of a physical therapist.
