Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. BLS (CPR), ACLS and PALS are required. Two (2) years of progressively more responsible nursing experience, one (1) year of which shall have been in the service to which the candidate is applying.
Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Assistant Nurse Manager position is to provide management of day-to-day shift operations of Critical Care Division. Directly responsible for daily staffing and reviews daily shift assignments to obtain efficiency and eliminate overtime. Responds to all emergency situations in the hospital including Code Blue, Early Response Team and Dr. Band-Aid calls. Works collaboratively with the Patient Care Coordinator and assists if needed. Is accessible, approachable and visible to staff; seeks staff input; and serves as clinical mentor. Actively assists staff on routine matters and is first line of response to problem-solve. Ensures clinical competencies of staff and identifies areas in need if improvement. Communicates pertinent information to Nurse Manager and or Director.
