Job Description

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology required.  Applicants possessing a Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Chemistry with a minimum of one (1) year of experience or training in the laboratory will also be considered.  Certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent credentials preferred.

Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Assistant Coordinator (POCT) position is to coordinate initial training; competency assessment, monitor quality control, instrument maintenance, and proficiency testing activities of the Point of Care Programs including but not limited to Finger Stick-Glucose, Blood Gas, ACT, Urine Pregnancy, Urinalysis, Rapid HIV, Amniotic Fluid pH, and Sweat Chloride.
