Qualifications: RN with license to practice in New Jersey and BSN required. MSN preferred. Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience, including two (2) years’ experience with stroke patients. Must have knowledge and background using quality and safety methodologies. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, as well as working effectively with physicians and a multi-disciplinary team across clinical areas. Effective personal and professional written and verbal communication skills, strong project management skills, and customer service skills a must. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with critical thinking and decision making abilities. Lean training preferred.
Responsibilities: The Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Coordinator (QAPI) coordinates all quality activities for Comprehensive Stroke Program, under the direction of hospital quality leadership. Aligns stroke program with the hospital quality program, including transparency, reporting, and communication between staff and hospital executive and Board leadership. Maintains compliance with CMS and regulatory requirements. Manages quality metric analysis and coordinates improvement activities.
